I'm Heading To CHINA!

Well -- Almost everyone I have talked to has asked if I plan on keeping a blog... so, I took the hint. So, as long as I do not defy any "blogging restrictions" set for the Olympic Games, I should be updating this thing as my travels in Beijing commence!

So, I'm leaving for China on Wednesday... my flight leaves from Raleigh-Durham Airport at 10:30 am and will arrive in Washington D.C. at 11:30 am. I will then fly directly from D.C. to Beijing. I will be arriving at 2 pm. of the next day! With the time difference (of 12 hours), I will be on the flight for 13 1/2 hours! I plan on sleeping, reading and watching movies... I just hope I don't go stir-crazy.

Well, a little bit about what I will be doing in China. I will not be working with USA Baseball while in Beijing. I will be working with the IBAF (International Baseball Federation). So, the primary responsibilities will be for me to write the recaps after the games are over. Baseball begins August 13 and will last until the 24th. So, log on to www.ibaf.org and read the recaps that Jake (my boss) and I will be posting! Also, there will be some photo galleries and videos.

Anyhow, I'm finished packing and I am just watching a movie, so I should really start getting ready for bed. I will try to log on and update as much as I can... apparently Internet access in Beijing is hard to come by and expensive! Anyhow, send comments and such! I'll try to bring home some gifts!

Brad,
We are sure enjoying your notes from China. It is so great that you are there and able to share such wonderful experiences. Have a safe and great time and keep us informed of what things you are getting to see. Hope you have time to do some more tourist sites. Take care! Aunt Connie and Uncle Jim
