I'm stranded in Beijing... ugh!

I'm stranded in Beijing.

I was supposed to leave today at 6:30 pm and then get into the states at 7:30 pm and finally be at home at 11 pm! However, my flight has been canceled.

My flight was canceled due to "Mechanical Adjustments" and is now flying out of Beijing at 8:30 am on the 26th. So, now, I will be getting home on Tuesday instead of Monday. I'm pissed. Legitimately pissed off.

The ride to get to the hotel they're keeping me in was terrible. It was expensive because when people were talking to me and telling me how to get to the shuttle bus, no one knew what was going on and I missed the shuttle and had to take a ride in a taxi that was expensive as crap. Then I'm in this hotel -- in the smallest room that I have ever seen in my entire life and have spent the 200 yuan to get Internet so I wouldn't lose my mind. Because, as my luck would continue, there is no English speaking channels on my TV.

Oh well, some good has come from this. The view from my itty bitty window is great! I'm in a good area and I managed to walk around a bit more and experience more of Beijing as I could. So, now I'm sitting here and watching a movie online and eating my free dinner. At least it's good! Haha, just another story to tell when I get back!!!

China just didn't want me to leave yet!

Anyhow, I'm going to go... just wanted to give you all a heads up. I will write a last post when I get back home.
